Week 7- Sexual Intimacy

In class this week we covered a very heavy topic. Mainly for the fact that there are so many views on sexual intimacy. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it is a topic that we hold very sacred. We are commanded and covenant to not participate in sexual relations to those we are not legally married to. The law of chastity is a law that member covenant to keep remaining worthy in the eyes of God.  From the gospel library, “Chastity is sexual purity. Those who are chaste are morally clean in their thoughts, words, and actions. Chastity means not having any sexual relations before marriage. It also means complete fidelity to husband or wife during marriage.” By this definition we understand that sexual intimacy is much more than sexual intercourse and can often begin to enter the mind long before any actions take place.  BYU and BYUI have been the rolling joke of the nation among young single adults for creating new terms and participating in many...

Week 1- Things May Not Be as They Really Seem

There are very few things worse than waiting hours and hours in a line for the most loved, highly glamorized, and extremely coveted theme park attraction just to find that when you reach the front of the line that the ride will be closed for the next HOUR.  Not to mention this was going to be the last ride of the night and 1st and only time one might get to ride it this trip. Then the question arises do you leave the line to go to the next best ride hoping that the wait there isn’t too long? Or do you wait the additional hour and hope that it is everything thing that you ever imagined? Both options could lead to something grand, but no one truly knows for sure the outcome. The wondering is heightened due to a person having to pick one or the other and possibly never knowing the outcome since they may never get to experience the unpicked ride. Week 2- Waiting for the Ultimate System

At a young age many people learn to read. We are first taught letters, then short words, later we learn more complex words, then sentences and eventually we begin reading sentences and whole books. In this list we missed the big step of learning how to read and that is to start at the top and reading only left to right. Backwards most literature does not work and quite frankly our mind will likely not grasp it regardless. Much like learning to read in one direction, tipping over a pattern of dominos, or studying an assembly line we see that they only truly function one way.  To paint a new and better correlated picture think of a luscious pond containing all sorts of animal like, filled with lily pads, and surrounded by green trees and grass. This is a better picture to recall when trying to understand the working of the family.
